Memorial Day Weekend 2005 was great. The weather was beautiful all weekend. I did only a little yardwork, and did a lot of relaxing. Had some good "quality time" with the wife, played with the kids, and did a little drinking (in moderation, of course). We went to a Memorial Day BBQ and I played a little volleyball. I'm a little sore today since it's been about 6 months since I last played, but it was a good time.

Oh, and I got a Target card yesterday. I used it to buy a Game Boy Advance SP and a couple of games for the kids to play on our trip. We were looking at buying one of those travel DVD players but I think the SP will be more fun for the family, and it has nothing to do with the fact that I wanna play it.

It's gonna be a busy week. I have month-end crap to do at work, and then I need to get everything set up for the trip to Virginia. We're going to be hitting the road Friday morning and it's going to be a busy (and hopefully fun-filled) 5-6 days of travel. I'm looking forward to it, but I just hope Bethany and I can remain calm and enjoy ourselves.

I'm also a little...undecided about the reunion. On the one hand I'm looking forward to seeing some people I haven't seen in a long time. On the other, I'm worried they may have become all yuppiefied. I don't want to spend all weekend acting like a shmuck to try to impress people. Oh well, I should be able to at least get a few drinks in with some D-matchers and then crash at the hotel with the wife. If some people are there that we can hang out and have fun with, then all the better.

Went to Mikey's bachelor party last weekend. We had dinner at Ruth's Criss, which kind of sucks since I'm vegetarian and all, but hey, the tall man wanted steak and he got steak. I had their portabello mushroom dish which was actually pretty good. I only made it about halfway through the serving though, because I don't really want to eat that much fungus unless it's gonna make me see stuff. After dinner half our group went off to other engagements and the remaining four of us went to see some strippers. I got a lap dance and got a few for Mikey (although he wasn't allowed to have the girls touch him). I was out of money within 40 minutes. Now I know why I don't get out to strip clubs. Still, we had fun. Although I woulda liked it if the girls were a little less skinny and had more booby and booty. Sorry, I like big butts and I cannot lie. After strippers we went to a bar where the beers were under $12. Overall, it was a good night. A little expensive, but good.

I haven't seen Revenge of the Sith yet. What kind of a geek am I? I'm happy to hear people are liking it though. I'm gonna have to see it soon.

I'm about done with my Accounting course - today's the last day. I think I scored a solid A, maybe even an A+. We'll see. I'm going to wait until the end of summer to start my next course. Too much stuff going on over the next few months.

Reunion is a little over a week away! I'm starting to become a little underwhelmed (if that's a word...I know it's not, 'cause I looked it up) about the whole thing to tell the truth. I want to hang out with friends, maybe have some beers, and spend some "quality time" with my lady. I'm a little worried that everyone I knew back then will have become career-conscious borgs, and I'll fall into the whole trap of wanting to appear successful and financially stable in the eyes of ex-girlfriends, casual acquaintances, and the guys I didn't like because they hooked up with someone I liked. And I don't want to become that guy for the weekend. AND I want Bethany to have a good time. So, basically my plan for a good weekend is : drink (responsibly), avoid tools, make Bethany and myself comfortable, hang with old friends we can still relate to, and fuck. That would be good.

Ok, I really really need to get some work done. Enough procrastinating! For now...
