I've been drinking a lot of beer lately. I don't think I'm gonna be cutting down this weekend either...

The past few days have been HOT! Which is fine with me. I like hot. Good weather for swimming. I nice cool glass of water, or juice, tea, soda, beer - so refreshing after playing/working outside. The women are wearing less. And ,we're supposed to get a big rain this afternoon, which should cool things down a little bit. Yes, I love summer!

I'm FINALLY mailing out the mortgage paperwork today. I hope everything goes well with that. I don't see how we should have any major problem, but you never know.

Wife is off for the next 3 weeks after tonight! Yay! I hope I get lots of lovin'!

Monday night was crazy. What's wrong with kids today? I'm so looking forward to my kids teenage years...not.

We signed the contract on the house yesterday! I hope this all works out. I'm feeling excited, stressed, and centered all at once; I didn't know this combination of emotions is even possible. I know this whole process will probably take quite a while, so I'm trying not to burn myself out - but also to stay focused on the finale.

Summer's finally here! Thank goodness. I'm ready to start using the pool!

saturday : 4 drinks (3 beers and a jello shot), 6 smokes.
Sunday : 3 beers, 4 smokes.

Had a nice, quiet, rainy weekend. We went to see "Finding Nemo" on Saturday - it was a nice family film; it kept #1 completely enraptured for the whole hour and 40 minutes, #2 had fun but was a little restless, and #3 had to be taken out of the theater about 5 times. mommagoddess and I enjoyed the movie, but we both missed parts thanks to #3. Oh well, it's part of the price of parenthood. We had fun together. BUT, I dunno if was worth $30!

Today's shaping up to be a very pretty, sunny, maybe even HOT day here on Long Island. We could use an actual summer day around here!

My boss is out today. Which means I'm gonna have a hell of a time keeping my nose to the grindstone. Hmm, that's a wierd saying. Anyway, I hope to get a good deal of work done today so I'll be all caught up.

I think I wanna go see "Hulk" sometime this summer. It would probably be worth seeing on the big screen for the SFX, and both Roger Ebert and Howard Stern gave it good reviews.

Ok, I'm definitely calling the lawyer today about the house. I still haven't heard anything! Arrrgh! I'm a little bit glad because I wouldn't mind having a slack weekend of NO real-estate-related issues, but I also want to get moving on the house. I guess I don't really mind if the process drags a little bit, though - it'll give us more time to save up money.

I worked a very short day yesterday and went to see #2's end-of-the-year program at preschool. I feel a little daddy-guilt because #1's end-of-year party is today, and I'm at work. I just don't have enough vacation time saved for the rest of the year to go to both! I'll have to make it up to him tonight - pizza for dinner and lots of Nintendo should do it.

I have to call the lawyer about the house contract today - I haven't heard anything this week. I better get to doing some work, too.

Ok, house stuff is all ok - just need to get a check from my parents (yes, they're helping with the down payment) and sign the contract. I'm trying not to feel the stress.

I'm working a half day tomorrow, so I better get to work. I've got a lot of stuff to do. All piddly shit.

Saturday : One beer (Black & Tan, yum!), one smoke
Sunday : One beer, 2 smokes

I'm probably not gonna lose any weight if I have a couple beers every day. I need to exercise more.

I'm going to get a tat in 5 weeks. I want to swing by the place I'm gonna get it done and get an idea of pricing and artists.

TGIF...not that I have any major plans for today, but Fridays always seem to be low-key and relaxed.

I finished "Luigi's Mansion" for the Game Cube last night. The kids really enjoyed watching me play. It was a pretty easy game, and short, but that's cool. I don't have hours a night to play the games anyway.

For work today - I've got to get some checks put together and then go to some meeting about workplace conduct. It's a company-wide meeting - I didn't do anything inappropriate! Then I hope I can stay on-task the rest of the day.

#2 has been having a lot of trouble staying in bed lately. Luckily, everyone small seems to have gone down fairly easily tonight.

The housework in our tiny apartment has gone to shit this week. Lack of sleep, nice weather outside, just plain laziness have all played a factor. I'm gonna try to have the place looking semi-decent before I turn in tonight though!

I think the inspection for the place we wanna buy is going down on Saturday. I still haven't heard from the agent that the time is ok, but it's what he originally suggested to me, I just haven't heard from him. I better call tomorrow again just to be sure.

I can't believe tomorrow is Friday already! I'm psyched for the weekend!

Fun with the kids yesterday. Sprinkler, loose tooth, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and #2 not going to sleep until after 10. Rrrr...

I'm so fucking beat. I keep meaning to get to bed early and it doesn't seem to be working. It'd probably help if I could get the kids to bed on time.

Stealing a page from Bridget Jones. I have a new health plan - a weekly average of no more than 3 drinks a day, and 2 packs of cigarettes a week. I can bulk up on a couple of days if I want to (don't drink for a couple of days and have extra on the weekend). I'd probably be best off if I don't drink more than 6 drinks in a night though.

The house stuff is moving along. We've got an accepted offer on a house we like, the inspection should be done within the week, and contract should be signed within two weeks. I have a good feeling about this one.

Got a lot of work to get through today, and no motivation...

Today was a very nice spring day - welcome relief from the crappy, rain-soaked weeks we've had lately. Here's to a decent summer!

House buying is so fucking annoying...we're looking at two places now, one offer has been semi-accepted (they took our binder but now I hear they're entertaining another offer, which I'm pretty sure is illegal) and I made the other offer today for their asking price, but the sellers seem to be unsure they want to go through with it now. I've got a home inspector booked for Saturday, and I really wanna get one of these places inspected, and I want it to be the one we're seriously gonna buy. How is that so hard to arrange?

I had a nice workday today though, at least that's good. But man I gotta get a Master's so I can make some real money.

Urg, I'm tired. I guess I just can't run on 4 hours sleep a night. I think I'll get to bed early tonight (right!).

We're gonna get a house this summer. Why would I have a house that I like, that we're pretty certain we can afford, that's in a cool part of town (I think) and still feel stressed and uncertain? It's odd. I should be more thrilled. I guess maybe I have to wait until we're in the house for that.

It's the wife's birthday today! Happy birthday mommagoddess!

Not much of a weekend...weather was pretty crappy and we're somewhat lacking in fundage this week. We did look at a couple of houses, and are considering making an offer on one. I don't know how we'll scrape together the downpayment though. Urgh.

I'll be busy today at work...I'm so far behind (maybe from wasting time online when I should be working?..hmmm...) and I have to get all caught up before I leave. Shit, I just realized I messed something up too, so I gotta go back and fix it. Fuck. Oh well, I guess I better get serious. I don't want to be here all night.

Guess I'll be missing the group sex session this afternoon.
